Prologue - What the future holds?The door closed quietly behind them. She passed through the passageway and entered the lounge. He followed her without any question as in a daze.‘I think a celebration is ideal at this time for both of us,’ she stated. ‘Champagne?’ More of an order than a suggestion.
He nodded, whilst still trying to work out what was happening.
She had prepared the bottle previously by removing the foil, so it was only necessary to remove the wire cage, and a moment later there was the sound of a popping cork. Pouring slowly but deliberately, both glasses were filled, and she handed one to him, clinking them together as she continued her introduction. ‘I do know of something about you, and in time would love to hear more, also sharing my story with you; but firstly, perhaps I can show you some more of your apartment?’
Picking up the bottle with the serviette and her glass in the other hand, she moved towards the other side of the lounge.
‘Let’s start with the master suite.’ .....
