Craig J. Whiteman retired from the Regular Army at the rank of Major in November 2004, transitioning to the private sector while continuing to serve in the Army Reserve. He is presently the Secretary of the 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry) Association and a Legatee with Legacy Brisbane. Establishing himself as an author, this is his debut book on Army life. He lives in Brisbane with his wife, Suzy and enjoys travel, art and golf.
