Don Oswald lives in the Adelaide Hills with his wife, Linda, and has always had a love of words. It is this, plus encouragement from others, that has enabled him to take up writing after he retired in 2020 from his previous career. In conjunction with his good friend, Mark Rogers, he has also written Waylon’s Garden Adventures and Waylon’s Beach Adventures, both published with Moonglow Publishing. Don is an avid reader with a vivid imagination and loves the adventures that can be lived when reading a book. He believes in the power of words used wisely.

Mark Rogers has always loved art, creative pursuits and drawing. He spends as much time as he can in his art room, drawing and painting. Since he retired from his previous career, he now has the time to pursue the things he has always wanted to do, namely his life-long ambition to illustrate children’s books. In conjunction with his good friend, Don Oswald, he has also illustrated Waylon’s Garden Adventures and Waylon’s Beach Adventures, both published with Moonglow Publishing. Mark’s secret for illustrating books is to depict the story accurately while respecting the author’s story. Skating Through Trouble, a story about friendship and overcoming challenges has strong resonance for Mark. I has enjoyed bringing the characters to life.
